Coping With Anxiety in Public Speaking

Anxiety in public speaking can be overwhelming, but overcoming public speaking anxiety is not impossible.

Description

Anxiety in any form is not good for any person to go through. It can be a scary experience for any person to go through as they do not really understand what is happening. However if you are coping with anxiety in public speaking then you will understand just how tough it can be to speak in front of a group of people. You may have tried everything from speaking to your family on their own to imaging everyone in their underwear but it just does not help you when you are actually talking to these people because you feel like you are unsure of what they are thinking when you are talking to them and that can make you feel uneasy thus this will result in you not wanting to talk in public anymore and also you will not have any confidence as a result of these anxiety attacks.

Coping With Anxiety

There are a few ways to cope with anxiety and if you can overcome these anxiety attacks then you can start coping with anxiety in public speaking areas. You will feel more confident when you are speaking and you can also start to notice that you are more sociable when speaking to people face-to-face. If you still feel that you cannot cope with public speaking then try some deep breaths just before you are about to speak as this can then slow down your heart speed and make you feel more comfortable when making these speeches. Also you have to understand that no one is judging you when you are speaking you are talking to these people and they are there to listen and not to judge. The main way to cope with anxiety is to overcome it you have to take the steps that you would take when you are trying to deal with anxiety. Deep breaths and general relaxation are the keys to making sure that you do not suffer an anxiety attack when you are talking to people. If you can learn about how to cope with general anxiety then you can learn about coping with anxiety when talking in public speaking areas.

Anxiety in General

As described before anxiety is not what you would expect to just walk into in your adult life. But the sad fact is that not all adult get anxiety there have been some sad cases reported in teenagers as they are going to college. It is a startling fact to learn that there are children out there that might be suffering from anxiety without their parents actually knowing anything about it. But it seems that they are sufferers and they are trying their best to deal with their anxiety. But coping with anxiety in public speaking can be a hard thing to do because there are times when you cannot cope and then your anxiety will start to kick in. You will lose confidence in what you are doing and then you will feel like you cannot speak to these people because of your anxiety towards people. Anxiety can affect your daily life and it is a big brick wall that seems impossible to overcome but there are cures out there to help you cope a lot better with your anxiety and then you can be led onto the correct path again and you can be happy in your life without having to fear when your next anxiety attack might occur. There are a lot of people living with anxiety at any one time and you are not alone in your anxiety. People are willing to help you get back to your old self and they want to reassure you that there are other people that are willing to help you. You just have to know where to look to get the correct help.

Summary

When you are giving a public speech it can feel like you are all alone if you are coping with anxiety in public speaking. But there are people that are just like you and they are also looking for a way to feel more secure when they are standing up there giving their speeches to people. If you look awkward when talking then you will feel this and then you will start to panic then your anxiety can start to kick in and you will start to realize that you can't cope. However if you seek the correct help then you can start to overcome your anxiety and then you are able to give these speeches and even learn to speak to big groups of people without fear. There are victims of anxiety and then there are survivors.
