Anxiety disorders are grave medical illness that plugs peoples' lives with irresistible nervousness and apprehension. Only in United States, Anxiety disorders risks about 40 million lives of adults. Children and old people are sometime also affected by anxiety disorder. Some people misunderstood Anxiety Disorder with stress. Stress is caused by over working, late night sleep, long business presentations etc, which do not require any treatment. Some time taking a short break from work like napping in the meal time or taking a glass of water may help to get out of stress. However, anxiety disorders are chronic, relentless and can grow further if proper care and treatment has not taken.
The term Anxiety refers to the complex set of negative emotions, which include fear, apprehension and worry. Anxiety is often accompanied by physical sensations such as palpitations, nausea, chest pain and / or shortness of breath.
Anxiety is often characterized as possessing of cognitive, somatic and behavioral components. The cognitive component induces the fear of uncertain danger. Somatically the body make ready the cognitive person to deal with emergency reaction which results in high blood pressure, increased heart beats, heavy sweating, improper functioning of immune system etc. Physical signs of Anxiety may include pale skin, sweating, trembling, and pupillary dilation. Emotionally, anxiety causes a sense of dread or panic, nausea, and chills. Research shows that when some organism is exposed to uneven circumstances like foul odour etc, a sort of anxiety is indtroduced in the organism, and if the exposure is long, it may result in Anxiety disorder.
Thus you can conclude that anxiety is a protective mechanism to secure an organism from involving in uneven situations. The form of Anxiety which affects a persons' life style is called Anxiety Disorder. The most common Anxiety disorders are generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Generalized anxiety disorder is a common chronic disorder that affects twice as many women as men and can lead to considerable impairment. As the name suggests, generalised Anxiety disorder is long lasting Anxiety, which might not focusses on a particular object or situation. This disorder make a person afraid of certain objects, themes or situations but affected person may not articulate the specific fear. These persons constantly undergo hard time controlling worries. The affected may develop headaches, heart palpitations, dizziness, and insomnia because of persistent muscle tension and autonomic fear reactions. Persons' under common chroniocal disorder may not cope to perform even daily routines like meetings, sleeping, taking rest or having food etc. Such persons carries their worries even iff they are going for a movie or disco.
So, if you think you or your loved ones are showing such symptoms, the proper diagnostic and trreatment is the ultimate requirement.
